Serena Rossi
Research Chair I am a PhD student at the Centre for Mathematical Cognition at Loughborough University (UK) (https://www.lboro.ac.uk/research/cmc/). I am studying the influence of mathematics anxiety on arithmetic performance in university students and primary school children by considering societal influences, such as mathematics-gender stereotype and its endorsement, other forms of anxiety, such as test anxiety and general trait anxiety, and cognitive factors, such as working memory. I started working on numerical cognition at the University of Padova in Italy where I obtained my undergraduate and master’s degrees in Developmental Psychology. I am happy to be part of the MCLS Trainee board as a Research Chair and work with this fantastic team to keep on and increase the MCLS trainee community. |
