Bella Starling-Alves
Secretary I am currently a lecturer at Doctum University and a project coordinator at the Instituto Alfa e Beto, in Brazil. I completed my PhD in Educational Psychology in 2021, at UW-Madison. In my PhD, I investigated how non-symbolic ratio and symbolic fraction processing longitudinally predict fraction and algebra knowledge. Before my PhD, I studied non-symbolic and symbolic absolute number processing in Brazilian children with mathematics difficulties. I was one of the founding members of MCLS Trainee, and I am very proud to be part of the MCLS Trainee team, acting as Secretary. I have been involved in organizing the MCLS Trainee documents and the MCLS virtual conference. |
