Alexa Ellis
Co-President I am a postdoctoral research associate at Purdue University in the Human Development and Family Studies department collaborating with Dr. David Purpura on a project examining the unique and combined effects of a picture book intervention on children’s numeracy skills. Previously, I earned my Ph.D. in Education and Psychology from the University of Michigan under the advisement of Dr. Pamela Davis-Kean and Dr. Frederick Morrison. My training in graduate school was focused on the contribution of formal schooling to the development of both mathematics and executive function skills. I am excited to be part of the MCLS trainee board and hope to continue collaborations and happy hours with other math cognition scholars. |
